8 – An Trá (The Beach) – Visitor Lesson

22-March-2021 – The lessons of the week (ceachtanna na seachtaine) have to do with the beach (an trá) pronounced “ahn traw”. Spring (an tEarrach) has just begun and we have beautiful weather (aimsir álainn) this week in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I thought that I would go to the beach both physically and figuratively and now I am writing (ag scríobh) to you before walking (ag siúl) on the beach (ar an trá). What are some of the things you find and see on a beach? Comment below. I expect to see sand (gaineamh), people (daoine), seagulls (faoileáin) and the ocean (an fharraige).

Did you know that you can look these words up in this online dictionary and find pronunciation (foghraíocht) on the pronunciation tab? Do you speak Irish on the beach? An labhraíonn tú Gaeilge ar an trá? Do you speak Irish? An bhfuil Gaeilge agat? If you comment below, you just might get a reply.
